Your Pet Is Welcome at Rancho Valencia

We welcome dogs and cats in every casita and private residence at Rancho Valencia. There is no weight limit, no breed restriction, and no limit on the number of pets in your casita.

Rancho Valencia is a Forbes Five-Star resort with a separately rated Forbes Five-Star spa. It holds the AAA Five Diamond and is a member of Relais & Châteaux. The resort is located in the lovely enclave of Rancho Santa Fe, nestled in North San Diego County.

Pet Friendly Casitas

All casitas and private residences accept pets, and pet reservations are not limited to specific rooms or buildings.

A custom dog bed, food and water bowls, a treat on arrival, and a resort pet guide are provided in the casita for your dog. In-room dining includes a menu prepared for dogs.

Around the Resort

Pets are welcome throughout the grounds on a leash. There is grass across the property, and waste bag stations are located throughout. Dogs are welcome on the restaurant patios at every meal, including the patio at The Pony Room.

Pets are not permitted in the pools, The Spa, the fitness center, or on the courts. Leashed dogs may sit courtside.

Services for You and Your Pet

Pets may not be left unattended in the casita. Resort Concierge can arrange for pet-sitting and grooming services.

Pet Policy

The pet fee is $250 per casita, per stay. It is not charged per night or per pet. There is no damage deposit, and any damage caused by a pet is assessed and charged individually.

Pets must be leashed on the grounds and may not be left unattended in the casita. During housekeeping service, your pet must be outside the casita with you or in a crate. If you are in the casita, your pet may stay with you on the patio or in a separate room. Housekeeping will not enter a casita where a pet has been left alone.

Advance notice is appreciated but not required. Please let us know at booking if you are bringing a pet.

Service animals are not pets, and no pet fee applies. Service animals are welcome everywhere on the property, except on furniture and in the pools.
